This is the total sales tax collected in the City of Naperville categorized by sales type. Businesses categorize themselves into one of ten different categories based upon the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC). This information is collected by the State of Illinois and shared quarterly with the City to show the sale tax generating business make-up of the community.
This dataset includes the City's historical debt service from 1976 through 2018. The data includes the total debt service associated with the property tax levy and compares that data to the City Equalized Assessed Valuation (EAV). Additional the data includes debt service adjusted for inflation from 1976 through 2018 and compares that data to the City's population.
This dataset is the result of an impact of analysis of special events in the downtown. The analysis found here (https://data.naperville.il.us/stories/s/nuvp-g4r9) investigates the impact of special events on the availability of parking and on tax revenues. This dataset covers the 2016 and 2017 calendar years. Each day includes information about any special events that took place that day, as well as impacts to parking at each of the three parking facilities in the downtown.

Prior to HHW Facility opening on Fort Hill Drive, household hazardous waste was collected at 1979 Brookdale Road, Fire Station #4.
The Annual New Sidewalk Program serves to create a pedestrian-friendly environment throughout Naperville by programmatically installing sidewalk in identified gap locations. This program provides pedestrian facilities that are safe, accessible, continuous, connected to destinations, and aesthetically pleasing. The merits of a pedestrian-friendly environment include increased travel mode choice, connections to community facilities such as schools, parks, and libraries, and social and recreational opportunities.

In order to better align the cost the utility pays to purchase power from its supplier, a purchased power adjustment was added to the customer bills. As the price of power goes up or down, due to open market forces, the utility can raise or lower what it charges its customers to match what it pays for the power.
